I recently presented at the CHI Conference our work on “Steering Stories: Confronting Narratives of Driving Automation through Contestational Artifacts” co-authored with Luciano Cavalcante Siebert and David Abbink. This work stems from our collaboration through the AiTech initiative and focuses on problematizing and confronting the popular narratives surrounding driving automation. We report on our exploration of adversarial design strategies, and contestational artefacts more precisely. The paper is available in ACM DL, together with the pre-recorded presentation.
