Marius Hoggenmuller presented our altHRI paper on “Creative AI for HRI Design Explorations”. This is a recent project exploring the potential of creative AI tools in human-robot interaction (HRI) design, a joint work also with Willem van der Maden, and Kazjon Grace. We conducted a four-week-long design exploration using generative text-to-image models to break free from design fixation and enhance creative processes. Our results show that these tools can help generate novel robot concepts and imaginaries, while also surfacing existing assumptions and biases. Read more here.
