On September 11, I was invited to join a wonderful event hosted by ITC ILO, the first AI Forum that gathered more than 100 participants, 30 facilitators, and speakers from academia, industry, UN Agencies, and civil society organisations.

I was invited to join a conversation with Stefano Merante to reflect on public perception of AI and I highlighted the perils of superlative and magical thinking around these technologies, and how important it is to enable meaningful participation of diverse people in the AI debate.
